The 7100 family of kits provide everything needed to repower one of these
tractors, down to the last bolt or screw. They are basically a bolt-in kit,
complete with
detailed illustrated instructions. The twin cylinders and the Lombardini powered units already have the frame cut down on the sides. Units
that are powered by the single cylinder engines require some frame
modification. Templates will be provided. If the frame needs to be cut, it
can be done with a “recip” saw and a drill. Only the Command kits need a 1-1/4” hole saw to cut 2 holes in the bottom of the frame. Everything else can
be done with basic hand tools.
Installing the kit
requires skills greater than those required for basic maintenance and
service, but are within the realm of homeowners with a good understanding of
mechanical things and a good set of mechanics hand tools. The most important
issue: The need to understand or be trained in the procedures required for
the safe handling of gasoline. If there is ANY portion of the installation
or the safety warnings the installer doesn’t understand or has any doubts
about, they should seek professional assistance.
We have had feedback from consumers that have installed these kits, stating
that the kits and instructions are very complete. One of our consumer
customers in 2000 advised us that he got home from work at 5:00 o'clock,
changed clothes and started on the project. At 8:30 he was driving the
tractor around the yard. He said everything was there down to the last screw
and the instructions addressed everything and needed no improvement. The
tractor was a 917 Allis which required no cutting of the frame. The
engine kit was the 90-0100-150B.
It is our goal to provide the finest solutions to the problems resulting
from the elimination of the old families of engine and to help people move
to more environmentally friendly, quieter, cooler running, longer lived,
more fuel efficient engines. We welcome feedback. This is why we include a
customer feedback sheet in every instruction packet. |

90-0100-120 Kit |
Complete Repower Kit for the
Simplicity Sun Star and the Allis (Allis-Chalmers, Deutz-Allis or Agco-Allis) 1900
series tractors powered with the
Kohler Magnum engines. Kit includes all parts necessary to change the
tractor from the M18 or M20 Kohler to the CH 20 Kohler Command engine.
Detailed step by step instructions and drawings are included. This kit can
be installed with normal hand tools, plus a drill, a 3/4” hole saw, a 2”
hole saw (to cut holes in sheet metal), a 3/4” metal cutting bit, a small
mounted stone to de-burr holes in sheet metal, a pair of metal snips, a
3/16” drill bit (to drill out pop rivets), a pop riveter, a 12-volt test
light and safety glasses.
Installation of this kit requires mechanical skill beyond that required for
normal service and maintenance procedures. It requires knowledge or
training in procedures for the safe handling of gasoline. If the person
installing this kit has any doubt regarding their mechanical ability at any
stage of the installation, professional assistance should be obtained -- at
least for that portion. Normal installation time will be 5 hours or
more depending on the ability of the installer. |
